- Obtain a user name and password to fill out the DC OneApp online.
- Download and fill out the DC OneApp worksheet (PDF). Filling out this worksheet makes it easier to fill out the DC OneApp online.
- Complete and submit the application as soon as possible after January 1 and before June 30. DC OneApps completed by May 19 will be awarded on the spot! If you submit your application and supporting documents after June 30, you will be placed on a waiting list.
- Submit the supporting documents to the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). All of these documents must be submitted together, otherwise your application will not be processed.
- Follow up after you submit the form.
- If your information changes — for example, if you move or decide to go to a different college — notify OSSE right away.
- Respond to inquiries. OSSE may ask you followup questions by mail and e-mail. Respond to inquiries right away.
- OSSE will notify you by mail or e-mail about your award. You will receive the award by mail or in person.
